My research focuses on the efficient extraction and delivery of natural compounds using deep eutectic solvents. During my Ph.D., I investigated the therapeutic and preventive effects of food-derived metabolites against atopic dermatitis. I further explored the efficacy of botanical drugs and functional foods at an SNU-based startup. As a postdoctoral researcher, I have evaluated the therapeutic potential of various natural compounds for multiple human diseases. Through deep eutectic solvents research, my goal is to develop sustainable, biocompatible extraction solvents and to broaden their use as innovative delivery systems for bioactive compounds.
